Love Gone Wrong

Marsha looekd totaly apauled. "How dare you..." she fumed and looked to her husband. "Your going to let her HIT me?" she demanded.

He frowned and looked back to her. "Dear..." he sighed. "Your worse than a spoiled child... Its rude not to leave when your asked to."

Marsha gasped- then pursed her lips. "Well." she said sharply. "Ill see you when you get home then 'dear'." she sneered. "Ill have the devorce papers waiting."

The man had been turning to head back to his room. He had to gran onto the curtian so he didnt fall- having not exspected that to come from his wives mouth.

Cassie hurried into the room andhelped him to his bed.

"What are you guys looking at? Get out of here. You guards, make sure she really does leave." Veronica shoo'd them off, and walked over to Michael's side. "Your pushing yourself like I asked you not to do." She sighed, she was acting like none of that had just happened. "I guess I'll just need to keep you sadated huh?" She raised an eyebrow at him, jokingly. "So, you know the drill- tell me where your feeling pain?"

"I dont want any pain medication." he said as they helped him back into the bed.

"Ill take you for a walk later." cassie said. "Its good to be upright and not to lay for too long- but you really should rest." she scolded.

"You are making it increasingly hard to do my job Mr. Satnaf." Veronica breathed out, annoyed, she'd just slapped his wife- maybe he wasnt too keen of that. But his wife had tried to kill him, it made no sense to her. "Well page me if Im needed." She grabbed her clipboard and walked out of the room.

She turned the cornor and almost ran into McDeam, but managed to advoid running into him this time. "Oh- sorry." She laughed, obviously she was stressed. "God I just slapped Mrs. Satnaf in the face." She blurted out, "I wonder how that'll effect my resume." She commented, suddenly calming down. "Anyways, need any help in your direction?"

"Not really, everythings undercontrol. I was just going to grab a bite to eat befoe hell breaks lose again." he said. "Hungry?" he offered to treat.

"Why not, I skipped breakfest." She shruged, and walked down to the cafeteria with him. She bought herself a sandwhich, and an apple juice. She sat down, waiting for him to finish getting his food. She took a bite while she thought about some events in her life that just seemed to be going downhill. That was basically everything.

Veronica frowned to herself, and took a bite from her sandwhich. Well at least he's not being wierd. Veronica thought of that as a plus. She smiled at him as he finally joined her, "So, have any kids?" She questioned, what she thought of for casual converstation. It didnt bother her, she wasnt cheating- just sleeping with the cheater.

Veronica always did had a mixed up sense of morals, but it'd worked out so far. Life played its role, and she'd went along with it. Couldnt recall how many guys she'd slept with, couldnt count her anxiety attacks, couldnt count how many times she'd lost someone.

"No- none of those yet." he chukled. "If we did odds are they arent mine anyway."

He took a sip of his soda and leaned back in his seat with a sigh. "Oh- sitting. I miss sitting." he said in a jokingly dreamy voice.

"Oh? That sucks." She didnt want to continue on that converstation, it would make her feel like she was trying to tell him to divorce. But she deffinatly didnt want anything but in this mans pants. "Seriously, I always have only a few moments rest in my office before they're paging me- or busting down my doors." She laughed lightly, she had a very cute laugh. It matched her looks, but not her personality.

"But its the job we choose." She smiled, "But Im glad I can help save lives." She paused, "I just hate loosing them."

Kristen just happened to be finishing her meal when she spotted the two doctors together. She just couldnt believe her eye's, 'Omg, she's moving in on a married man!' She finished her food, and put her tray on the stacks as she left the cafeteria. She of course started gossiping about it right away.

"Speaking of-" he frowned. "Hows Mr. Satnaf doing?" he inquired. "You stole my paitent from me- but I supose I coudl let it slide so long as hes doing well." he joked.

"Oh yeah, I did- didnt I?" She questioned innocently, "Well I wish I hadnt, he's stubborn as all hell. His wife is insane. And Im basically resistricted from being a doctor when I enter that room. Its worse then being in L.A with some prissy star wanting me to make sure I do everything perfect. But he wont even let me do anything." Veronica rolled her eye's, and took a drink of her juice.

"Haha, and some nurse totally bitched about me taking over the surgery." She laughed, "It was a bitch move, but Im kinda a control freak." She shrugged, one of the other reasons she tried to advoid relationships. Her life had to be a certain way- and most people couldnt keep up with her.

"Hey Cassie, what are you doing outside of Mr. Satnafs room? Food?" Kristen questioned, running into her in the hall. "Oh hey! Dr. Mcdeam, and Dr. Valentine are soo eating together. I so told you." She winked.

She blinked. "Well IM getting him his food- since the boy who was suposed to bring it didnt show." she blinked. "Eating where? The cafe- or the roof?" she asked, allowing the nurse to hurry her off.

"He is stuborn- but he refuses medication since hes a recovering adict." he said. "Hes afraid hell be hooked again if he uses it- even though he obviously neds it... its best to wait untill he falls asleep and then administer it."

"I dont see how, he obviously doesnt like me treating him." Veronica huffed, "But thank you, I'll try that." She smiled, and took another bite from her sandwhich. "So did I give you my number yet?" She casually questioned, asking purely as a booty call.

Veronica took another bite from her sandwhich, she was seductive when she didnt even try to be- and her odd personality wasnt that bad.

"God I just know its going to be a busy day."

Her pager then went off, "Lovely." She grabbed her sandwhich and juice and got up, "I'll see you around Doctor." She laughed lightly, and left the cafeteria going back to Mr. Satnafs room. She set her juice down once she entered the room, and held her sandwhich in her hand. "Yes sir?"

His hair was washed, nearly pulln back with his bangs parted to frame ihs face. It was the burnt side that was facing her when she entered the room- though it already seemed to be healing a little.

On the television the three stooges was playing which he calmly muted. He looked over and frowned. "You would thin kseeing as how i own this hospital i woudl be aloud to go outside when I asked." he closed his lap top. "The nurses wont let me outside to smoke." he said, a little grumpy with ther whole perdicament.

Veronica had left McDeam with her card, and her cellphone number was written on the back.

"So are you asking me to take you outside?" She questioned, she took another bite of her sandwhich as she picked up her clipboard, and looked it over. "Cigarettes will be no good for you skin healing process." She also added in, "Thats why Im a drunk smoker." She took another bite of her sandwhich, casually looking over his progress.

"Not to mention, you not wanting to lay around- your not giving your cuts a chance to completly heal up." She looked over at him, "So what am I to do with you?"

"Keep me preocupied?" he raised an eyebrow. He shifted, wincing, but setteling down again. he really was handsome- even withthe burns... some how it added to the beauty of his good side.

"Well thats selfish." She smiled at him, and set down her sandwhich with the clipboard. "Since you dont like listening to me anyways, and usually do whatever you want- I might as well take you outside myself." She walked over to him, "But you need to wear socks, shoes, and a coat. Its chilly." She sounded like a scolding mother.

"I also dont recomend the cigarette." She added in, "But addicton is one horrible things." She knew.

"Im going three days without one." he said. "I normaly smoke a pack a say." he nodded though, agreeing to dress right... but like hell he want lighting up.

Veronica walked with him leaning on her, and a cane in his other hand. "So your really going to just let it go?" Veronica questioned him, once they were outside. "Its bothering even my cousiance, and thats saying alot because honestly I thought I didnt have one."

Veronica smiled lightly, she liked to smile at her own jokes. "But you know, seriously. Mr. Satnaf, are you refusing to let yourself heal because of her?"

He frowned, lighting a cigerette. "I dont exspect youto understand." he said. "but it was an arranged marriage." he inhaled deeply, savoring the flavor and burning sencation down his throught. "If I really caused her so much missury just by being alive its only fair she returns that favor."

"Who agree's to an arranged marriage in this time and day?" Veronica questioned, raising an eyebrow. "That sounds like a horrible love story. Arranged marriages dont bring happily ever after. Only soul mates do." Veronica was looked up at the sky, it was a nice day- a bit chilly but blue skys.

"Oh God, like I should give love advice." She laughed, "But anyways, Im not one to talk about myself. I guess I dont understand, and your nicely telling me to mind my own business." She laughed lightly, "Well okay then." She held onto his cane so he could smoke as he walked.

"..." he let out a smoke filled breath looking up at the blue sky with his bright green eyes. "I supose Ill become an active employee in my own hospital once I recover." he said. "I have my MD after all..."

She didnt really know what to say to that, she wanted to say a snooty remark along the line's if you wife doesnt finish what she started. But she held her tongue. "Interesting. Were you a doctor before you wanted your own hospital?" She questioned.

"I always told myself when I retired, I wanted my own hospital so I could continue helping people. But I doubt that, I have such expensive taste." She laughed.

He nodded. "I actuly inherited thehospital from the former owner. I was his favroite doctor here." he said.

He stopped walking as he finished the cigetette. "What made you want to become a doctor?"

"Oh." She paused, and handed him back his cane. "Well I like helping people. Plus I was smart. I didnt know what I wanted to do coming out of highschool- so I decided being a doctor was where the money was at. I actually hated it at first. But the first patient I lost, changed me. I realized it had nothing to do with being a job, I was saving lives- and people were putting thier live's in my hands." She stopped herself.

"Anyways, basically Im a greedy bitch with OCD." She put up her emotional block to stop herself from getting emotional over those thoughts. "That realized I can save live's."

"Your letters of recomendation said you were kind." he watched her and frowned. "I dont see how a greedy person can be kind at the same time."
