Love Gone Wrong

Veronica nodded, "Alright." She ignored his comment, and focused on his pain. Or lack of. She was writting something down on her clipboard when a woman walked into the room. Veronica was about to ask her to leave when she started to speak to her patient. When she slapped him, Veronica acted on impluse. She walked over there quickly and grabbed the ladies hand. "You touch my patient agian, and a law suit will be the least of your worrys."

Veronica forcably moved the lady back a few steps before letting go of her wrist. "Now, visting hours havent started yet- if you dont want me to call the cops I'd enjoy if you'd leave. Now." Veronica stepped past her and walked over to Mr. Satnaf, to make sure he was alright. "Sir, please tell me where your feeling discomfort?" She questioned as she closely examined his face.

He grimiced, pushing himself back up to a sitting possission, his glasses squewn from the slip. his cheek was bleeding now from the impact.

He frowned opening his mouth to answer he closed it again, wincing.

Blood had begun to seep through his shirt.

Veronica frowned, damn bitch she grumbled in her head, not wanting to talk badly infront of her boss. She worked as quickly as she could to stop the bleeding. She frowned, seeing his chest bleed as well. She laid him back, and pulled up his shirt. "And you still wont press charges?" She questioned, as she started to wrap him back up- after stopping the bleeding.

"You should rest, really." She walked away from the bed to wash her hands off. "Your pushing yourself way too much, and its not good for you."

She turned to him, a bit of worry on her face. But she didnt say anything, she walked back over to his side- and injected some pain killer into him.

He closed his eyes and frowned. "Shes my wife." he said. "I cant just send her to jail..."
He trailed off and, relaxing a few moments after she injected the pain killers.

The door opened. "Oh- Dr. Valentine." a womans voice said, sounding a bit suprised.
It was the nurse she had met yestrday- the one who informed her about who her employer was. She still had her jacket on from outside- apparently having just clocked in.

"And people called you unfaithful." She commented as he was consious- but the pain killers were making him very relaxed. She turned from him, to Cassie who'd walked in. "Yes? How may I help you?" She questioned, "I need to go make sure Mrs. Satnaf is off hospital grounds, so please make it quick." She sounded stressed, and was trying not to be rude.

But if she found someone a threat to one of her patients, she would not stand by and let them get away with it. She didnt care if she was meddling, while they were in the same hospital as her- she would make sure her patient are cared for.

She blinked. "I'm Mr. Satnaf's nurse today." she said. "I was comming to get him cleaned up." she frowned. "What happened?" she asked, seeing his shirt had blood on it. "And why sir, arent you in a gown like evryone else?" she asked walking over.

The hospital owner chukled. "Im stuborn?" he sugested- letting the pain killers do their job.

"Oh-" Veronica nodded, "Alright, well good luck- I need to go find Mrs. Satnaf." Veronica explained, as she set down her checkboard. "She paid a vist, and hurt my patient- Im having her thown out." Veronica explained, "And good luck with him, he might be more easy to work with while drugged up." Veronica commented, making eye contact with him for a moment before leaving the room.

She asked a hospital secrity to keep an eye out for Mrs. Satnaf, and that she was not allowed near Mr. Satnafs room while he is recovering. Since she was his wife, and he owned the hospital- she couldnt resrict her from the whole hospital. That annoyed Veronica.

Veronica looked at the time, she should have gone home a few hours ago. She noticed Dr. Mcdeam walking down the hallway. She caught up with him, and stopped him. "Excuse me, do you want to screw?"

The man blinked at her sleepily- his white coat off replaced bu a long leather one. Apparently he was headed home too. "Huh?" he asked yawning into the back of his hand. "Come again?"

"Do you want to F***?" She questioned, "No emotional strings attached." She crossed her arms, "Either way, Im not going to be wierd about this." Though it was usually the guys who got wierd with her after a one night stand- she never got emotionally involved. Except for her dead boyfriend.

She was good at not getting emotional, though she had emotional breakdowns every few months. She was good with bottling it all up.

He blinked. "... Is that a trick question?" he asked looking her over.

"Do I look like Im some pyscho?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow. She glanced down, and noticed the ring on his left hand. "Oh- sorry." She smiled at him, as if she was the ditzy blonde. "I didnt even noticed, wow- well way for me to make it awkward." She laughed lightly, "Im just going to go home, looks like your doing the same- so well yeah." She waved her hand in the air as she turned to walk away.

She felt so stupid, so desprate. 'God Im really bad...' She thought to herself, trying to justify her actions but couldnt think of any reasoning to it.

"HOld up!" he jogged after her and shrugged. "The misses is out with someone else- theres no reason I woudl feel awkard doing the same he reasoned.

"Then come back to my place." She smiled back up at him, she felt so relieved. "I dont drive, so you can take a cab with me- unless you have your own car." She said casually as she walked towards the front doors.

Kristen watched them, she could notice the flirty way Veronica was acting. Oh that slut. Kristen wondered who she could gossip to at this hour, and had seen Cassie come in not that long ago. She went to Mr. Satnafs room, where she knew Cassie would be. She knocked on the door before entering, she looked at the bed- Mr. Satnaf looked asleep- but she didnt know he was just drugged up.

"Oh.Mi.God Cassie, you will not believe who are going home together." Kristen laughed lightly, "Dr. Valentine and Dr. McDeam! I thought Mcdeam was married!"

Cassie looked over and blinked. "Did you think maybe hes just giving her a ride? She doesnt have a parking spot here you know." she said shaking her pen at her before going back to her notes. "But maybe you should call his wife- let her know hell be late home tonihgt."

"No, they were flirting. She said something to him, and walked away- and he totally went after her." Kristen explained, "I dont think it was about a car ride- not the way they were looking at eachother, no way- Im totally good at spotting this stuff." She winked, then paused. "What if they are fucking? His wife would freak."

Kristen liked that idea, but wouldnt say it outloud- because she knew she'd sound like a bitch. "I dont know- McDeam hasnt lirted with anyone here- why the L.A new doctor?"

"you just said it yourself." she blinked. "LA- new doctor." she frowned. "Do me a fvor and make sure that cafe boy gets here with the food okay?" she looked at her watch. "I have to go make the rounds."

McDeam lead her out a a black ferrari, opening the passenger door for her. "Wheres your place?" he asked and got in, smiling a bit to himself when the engin roared to life.

"Yeah, I guess you have a point. But Veronica just came in here- trying to act like she owns this place. Kinda pisses me off." Kristen crossed her arms, "Well anyways, better get back to work- I'll go check on that cafe' boy." She walked out of them room, giving Mr. Satnaf a glance before realizing his eye's were opened. She quickly looked away leaving the room.

--Meanwhile...

"Eastbrook apartments." She buckled up her seatbelt, being a doctor she saw what happened when you didnt buckle up. She looked the car over, it was very nice- she'd been in quite a few of these. "Very nice car." She commented, loving the leather seats. It was more of a turn on. Money was attractive.

They made it back to her place, she switched on the lights- her arms now wrapped around him locked into a passionat kiss. She kicked the door shut, pulling away from him- keeping her hand in his as she lead him towards the large bed in her room. She started to unbotton his shirt as they walked towards the room.

"Are you alright Mr. Sayaf?" cassie asked worriedly.

"Im fine." he said reading his book. "Just suprised that my hospital is being run by such loose people." he stated.

He wasted no time helping her to undress, taking her shirt off and next her skirt.

--That morning...

Veronica's eye's fluttered open, she looked out her window- it was still slightly dark out. The sun was bearly peeking out. She looked over, McDeam was sleeping. She didnt even know his first name. Veronica sat up, and frowned- she felt stupid. Stupid. She recalled her thoughts from the day before- and breathed out with a sigh. She got out of bed, and walked into the bathroom. He was married. She frowned to herself as she looked into her own reflection.

It wasnt like this was the first time she'd slept with a married man, this wasnt the first time she'd slept with one of her co-workers. She'd done it all plenty of time's before. But there always was that desperation for some sort of affection. Addicted to the feeling.

She turned on the shower, she got in- and started to wash herself off. She basically just hoped he wouldnt get wierd about this. She just wanted a one night stand, a booty call.

By the time she got out of the shower, he had left- car and all.

Nice for a change not to find the guy sitting at the table, like he exspected something.

She was glancing out the window half naked, she smiled to herself- it was quite nice he'd just left. She usually didnt like them even staying the night. She stepped away from the window when she noticed the teenager who lived next door staring at her. She just smiled back, and left the windowside. She went and did he make up, and picked out clothes to wear for the day.

--At the Hospital...

Veronica sat in her office, chanaging from her heels to flats. She heard someone at the door, but didnt bother looking up. "Come in."

Cassie poked her head in frowning. "Are you terribly bussy?" she asked. "Mr.Satnaf's wife is causing a small scene and wont leave... I figured you could scare her off again." she said.

The poor woman. she had worked the entire night shift and most likely spent most of it fending off the crazy woman.

Veronica frowned, "God I already hate that woman." Veronica nodded, and got up- she walked down the hall til she came to Mr. Satnafs room. There were two guards in there trying to talk to her, but there only seemed to be no reasoning with a screaming woman.

"Excuse me." Veronica said loudly, "I thought I told you, you are not to vome near Mr. Satnaf. You have caused harm to my patient, and I will not allow for you to interfer with his healing." Veronica walked right up to her, and got in her face. Veronica had her arms crossed, "If you do not get out of this room, these guards will remove you from it- and turn you over to the police."

"For what- intruding on a hospital that I half own?" she narrowed her eyes. "I could have your job you know..." she threatened.

Mr. Satnaf appered at the door, looking tired as he leaned on the door frame, pushing his glasses up the bridge ofhis nose. "Marsha." he said sighing heavily. "Please do as they say..."

"Fuck you."s he snapped.

He frowned opening his green eyes the slightest bit. Her words hurt.

Veronica could see that pain in his eye's, and for some reason she couldnt care less about her job. She was a doctor, and she did what was in the patients best interest. Veronica just seemed so calm, she slapped Mrs. Satnaf across the face. It was like everything just suddenly went quite. "You should mind your place, I dare you to fire me. I dare you." Veronica was so calm, but her tone was angry and cold. "And my lawyer cost more then your car, and I dont go down quitely."

"So, Marsha was it? If you dont get out of this room, these guards will removed yo- and turn you over to the cops."

Kristen who had showed up right before Veronica slapped Marsha, was completly shocked. What is Mr. Satnaf going to do!? Is she mad? Kristen looked to Mr. Satnaf.
