Love Gone Wrong

"Like I care. Im a doctor, and my patients life is in danger as long as Im not doing anything about it." Veronica frowned, "I wont let them get away with this." She continued walking, since they were still cleaning up and gettings things settled from the fire- police were still around getting statements.

Veronica was slightly annoyed she'd slept with such scum, but it wasnt the first time she'd slept with some sleezy good looking guy. Even her boyfriend was scum. Dead, but still scum. McDeam seemed so nice, but most guys did. She spotted a cop, and walked up to him. "Hello police officer." She smiled at him, "I have to report a crime."

He looked at her, and had to take a double take- he had never seen her working her before. "You new?" He questioned, he was now very interested in what she had to say.

"Yes, Dr. Valentine, my name is Veronica." She smiled, "Sir, I have evidence of my patients life being threatened."

His look of excitement from learning her name soon turned serious when she mention a life being threatened. "Oh, okay- who's life is being threatened here? And by who?"

Veronica took the paper off of her clipboard and handed it to the officer. "Mr. Micheal Satnaf's life sir, this note was from his wife- he gave it to me earlier. Also, when the fire was taking place- I ran into Dr. McDeam outside of Mr. Satnafs room. Its been rumored that he's been sleeping with Mrs. Satnaf." Veronica explained.

Amy shook her head and threw away her pear, gettign up and walking off tomake sure her paitents were alright, now having to take care of a new nurses who got burnet trying to help put out the fire.

The owners room and two rooms over on either side had been engulfed by the flames by the time they wereput out.

--Later on that day...

Veronica went to go check on Mr. Satnaf, she opened the door and walked in. "Well hello there, how are you feeling?" She questioned, hoping he didnt get burned some more. "Tell me if anything new has occured." She looked at her checkboard, and then to Cassie.

"I've been in surgery and attending to other patients, so Im sorry I didnt come sooner."

Cassie shook her head. "he was apparently asleep when the fire started. Dr. McDeam just gave him some medication so he can rest." she frowned. "Im not the doctor- but I said it looked like a bit much." she said. "Looks like it did the trick though." she said watching the brown haired man sleep peacefully. his arm was wrapped now- which haddnt been when they took him outside. The fire had agrivated his burns.

She looked to Victoria. "His vitals are fine though."

"I believe Mcdeam is to blame for the fire." Veronica frowned, "Which explains why he gave him such a large dosage..." Veronica sighed, "God, my life just has to get more complicated by the day. I just want to go home, find someone to F***, and have a good nights rest." She grumbled, "Oh well, at least I can go home tonight. I'll have to get more scerity guards observing Mr. Satnaf."

Veronica looked over the machine's, and then looked from Micheal to Cassie. "I cant wait til I can use my vacation days, I totally want to go to Hawaii. Never been there before."

Kristen came into the room with a knock before she entered, "Hey, so like I heard the police are asking about Dr. McDeam? They say on suspsion of attempted murder. Thats big."

Cassie blinked. "Why would he light the fire?" she sounded sceptical

She blinked when the nurse came in and loopked over. "Oh..." she blinke dlooking at Michael. "Well, you ogo home and Ill keep an eye on him." she said frowning. "Ill have a blood test run to make sure nothings been put into his food either."

"I have some things to do before I can go home, but I plan to soon." Veronica let out a sigh, and brushed some hair back from her face. She looked from Cassie to Kristen, "I know, I know- so anyways. Anything happening in the ER? I think I'll go help Amy out. I forgot to catch her last name- anyone know it?"

Kristen nodded, "Oh- yeah. Not really, just a sprained ankle and such- but thats being taken care of. Dr. McDeam seemed to have disappeared, but there are some doctors from other hospitals offering thier help which is wonderful."

"Yeah, Madem Lanif." cassie said.

"Wierd name, so its like Dr. Madem Lanif? Sounds french or something." She shrugged, "Anyways, I'll leave you be- come Kristen lets let her work." She opened the door, and after Kristen walked out- Veronica waved good bye to Cassie.

She walked down the hallway, and let out a sigh- her and Kristen had went seperate ways. "I need to have a drinking night..." She made a mental note.

"Do you always talk to yourself outliud?" a man teased her form behind.

Is it wasnt Dr. McDeam himself...

"It helps me feel like Im not alone." She joked, though a chill came over her- but she wouldnt show him that she was uncomfortable. "An office asked me about you." She played casual, she'd only told Amy that she was going to report him- he shouldnt know it was her. But she couldnt ever be sure. "What could that possibly be about?" She played the dumb girl who just was interested in him.

"I mean-" She stopped, and looked him in the eye's. "Whyever would you be having an affair with some spoild woman when you can have me whenever you want?" She smiled at him. Seductive. It was a natural gift of her's.

He shrugged. "Some people like to over exhadurate the truth." e said. "Are you bussy tonight?" he inquired. "A drink sounds pretty good."

"Oh, well I was headed out." She smiled, not knowing exactly what she was getting herself into. But for some reason, she wasnt affraid. "I've been here all night, Im taking it easy today and going home early. Hopefully, I can get nice and drunk." She giggled, "There was this club I wanted to check out."

Veronica started to walk towards her office, "I need my purse, and coat of course. And nice shoes." She opened up her office door, luckily the fire hadnt went far or it could have made it to her office. "So what are your plans?" She raised her eyebrows at him as she slipped off her flats, and slid on her heels. "You could always join me." She thought about how she could possibly lure him in and trap him, or maybe just have a last good time.

"Sounds like a plan." he said leaning on the door frame with a smile. "after having the cops interogate me all day a nice night away from the misses could do me some good."

Veronica smiled at him with a light laugh, "Well then how about you take me home, so I can refresh myself." She got up, and walked over to him.

--At Veronica's apartment...

Veronica unlocked her door, and turned on the lights. "Make yourself comfortable, I need to shower. Unless you wanted to join me?" She smiled at him, and let out a small laugh. She removed her coat, and her shoes- and started to remove clothing as she walked towards the bedroom.

She threw her purse onto the bed, and sat on the ledge to removed her tights. She was in perfect shape, long slender legs- and curves to kill for. Veronica looked up at him with her beautiful bold eye's. "Hm?"

"We both smell like smoke." he said as he took his shirt off. "so I dont see why we shoudl shower together."

Veronica smiled at him, "Of course." She walked into her bathroom that was attacted to her room. She turned on the light, and walked over to the bath- turning on the water and turning the heat up. "Do you feel guilty?" She questioned, noticing in the mirror that he froze up. "About sleeping with me?" She continued.

She pulled up the plug, and the water started to shower down. She smiled at him, and stepped into the bathtub. She motioned with her fingure for him to come in.

--Meanwhile...

"I saw Dr. Valentine leave with Dr. McDeam." Kristen was in the breakroom with Cassie. "Wasnt she saying he was a murdered before? Or something- I mean seriously."

Mcdem got into the shower with her and chukled. "why shoul dI feel guilty?" he asked. "Were both doing this for release, not love." he said.

"well, she might be trying to get a confession out of him." she shrugged.

"Thats reckless." Kristen crossed her arms, "We're already short doctors. Luckily I heard we're getting two new doctors- so thats good."

--Meanwhile...

"Of course." Though his words were blunt, and almost hurtful. She felt ashamed, but she always felt so desprate for attention- and for this lust. Why feel guilty now? She turned and faced him, looked him up in the eye's. He was quite like a dream guy, but he wasnt a good guy.

Veronica wrapped her arms around him, and kissed his chest. He wasnt her dream at all, but he'd fill a need.

Cassie frowned. "thats a horrible thing to say." she scolded.

He looked up, letting the hot watr push his hair back for him.
He did smell like smoke. Alot of smoke.

They didnt end up going out, she already had enough alcohol at her house to stock a bar. "Scotch or Vodka? Or Rum... Actually- there's like everything." She laughed, her whole kitchen closet shelves were filled with bottles. "Personally, I want rum tonight."

She took her bottle, and walked over to the couch- only in her bra and underwear at this point.

She poured into into a wineglass that had a couple of ice cubes in it. "You find something you like?"

--Meanwhile...

Kristen sighed, "I didnt mean like that- but seriously. She shouldnt put herslf in danger by going out with some guy who is accused of attempted murder." Kristen shrugged, "If it was me, I wouldnt."

"Rum sounds fine." he said and followed her to the coutch.

Cassie rolled her yees and wnet back to her own buisness.

[MORNING! =D]

Cassie helped Mr. Satnaf sit up in his bed, setting the food tray over his lap for him.

Veronica woke, and sat up with a yawn- she covered her lips. She had to let her eye's adjust to the light, then she looked over. McDeam was still sleeping sound. She frowned, she wasnt sure what he was going to do last night. But it looked like all he wanted was a stress reliever. Drinking, and her.

She got up out of bed, and walked into her bathroom. Hoping he'd take off like last time. She brushed out her hair, and got into the shower- turning on the warm water. She always loved a good shower after a night of drinking.

She glanced out at the clock on the wall, making sure she wasnt late for work- and then closed the shower curtains. They were clear, with white strips across them. See though, but a bit blurry.

OOC: Are we going to skip ahead a few months?

-5 monts later-

Mr. Satnif had been released from the hospital a month prior, the scarring setting into become perminant- but he didnt seem to care. They devorce had been pushed through quickly- followed by the arrest of Monica. Dr.McDeam had quit his job at the hospital to go work down the street- all charges droped for lack of evidence.

Some how it had gotten out that Cassie had a she-crush on Dr.Valentine- currently resulting in the techs early vacation while the rumors blew over.

Veronica sat in the cafeteria with Amy, "So how was your weekend?" Veronica asked casually, her hair was wavey today since she'd used her curling iron. "I met a guy, but as all guys you meet at the bar turn out- he wasnt too great." Veronica laughed, "I need to quit being so desprate and actually find me a good one."

She looked up to Dr. Satnaf who came towards them, She smiled. "Wello hello doctor."

Kristen sat down at the four seating table as well. "Hey guys."

--Meanwhile...
-Downtown.

"Hey Cassie." Cassies friend Sheri brought her a coffee, and sat down next to her. "What'd you want to see me so despratly today? Not that I mind." She smiled, and sipped at her own coffee as they sat on a parkbench. "Its nice out today."
