-BLONDIE ONLY] tear drops on my guitar

maggie winced. "Yami- let go." she said gently tugging her arm to get free.

She blinked looking slightly confused. "Teacher? Wait-" she blinked at Yami. "You told me your teacher wasa horrible person and didnt care about anyone but himself." she pointed a ringer at yamis face witha frown. "You havnt been lieing have you?" she asked seriously.

She had stood up and suddenly found herself falling forward into yami, dizzy. had she lost that much blood?

Yami frowned, and let go of her- he didnt mean to hurt her. "Im sorry-" He was trying to apoligize, but she was now pointing a fingure at him. "What? He is! He just looks and acts nice- his bite is much meaner then his bark." Yami grumbled, defending himself.

Vincent sighed, "While I rather enjoy dramatic scene's, I'd say we should take this elsewhere. She looks like she could use a place to lay down." Vincent looked to Yami, "Lets take her to your place, and chat over some tea."

"You old bastard." Yami grumbled, and held Maggie up- trying to be careful of her arms. He laid her down so he could pick her up bridal style. "Fine- whatever... But you can help explain what the hell happened here." Vincent took off his overcoat and put it over Maggie, then fallowed after Yami. Yami carried Maggie out the back door, and out of the allyway.

"I just happened to be here to lend a helping hand, as I said before." He said innocently, "Her boss was a wearwolf, you know- our digusting servents." Vincent sighed, "While eating here, I noticed his actions were- out of line. The full moon is out tonight, makes them a bit crazy. The one's that cant control themselves are killed."

Maggie listened, vuegly aware of what was actuly being said.

She blushed, hiding her face in yamis shirt without even realising she was doing so....

He was holdingher. And he smelt so good...

She didnt realise she had closed her eyes and was slowly falling to sleep. How coudl she realise it? In yamis arms she was too at ease.

They arrived at Yami's, didnt take too long- because he didnt far away from where she worked. "Can you turn on the lights for me?" He asked Vincent as he laid Maggie down on the couch, and walked into the kitchen to get a wet rag.

Vincent flipped on the lights, and locked the door for Yami. He checked out the window for some reason, and closed the blinds. He walked over to the couch, and sat down in a recliner chair. "Nice home you have set up here." He commented, "So your parents still off traveling and what not? You think in your freetime, you could come see me more."

"Im sick of listening to your ideals, and I'd rather try to live my life as a normal teenager."

"But your not."

Yami walked back into the living room with a wet rag, and a glass full of blood. "I'd offer you some, but by the looks of it you've had your fill." He commented as he placed the rag on Maggies forehead. He took a nice big drink from his glass, and let out a sigh.

"You need to learn control Yami. All the blood in the world that Kiyari brings you, will not fill your satisfaction as long as you do not learn control. You will become blood drunk, and fall into the E-class vampire." Vincent warned, but what all he said wasnt entierly true- at least for Yami. Yami was special, but he didnt find need to tell him of that yet.

Maggie slept on, her head gently proped up on the sofas arm rest.

her hair was pinned up as usual for work, somethign yami always scolded her for forgetting. it left her neck totaly exposed, and the sound of her slow steady heart beat never seemed to change.

He didnt scare her- even though he should...

Vincent had only further backed up her false beliefes, the vampires- all of them deep down- were not evil. That some how- they were good.

"I have control." Yami snapped, just proving he didnt. He growled and sat down, at Maggies feet, on the couch. "What do you want me to do? Let go of everything that is still human in me?" Yami looked to Vincent, "Because I cant. I just cant let go of what I have." He took another drink of the blood, and rested the cup in his hands.

"No, I simply want you to learn." Vincent said calmly, "Im not asking you to move in with me, or elope. Just simply come over, and be a faithful student." he chuckled.

Maggie sturred, turning her head in her sleep but not waking up.

A dream perhaps.

Strange though- that even in the ally way, about to be killed, she didnt seem so... destressed.
Yes, she had screamed. for help more than out of fear.

A smart brave girl- yet at the same time a dense foolish one.

"Yami-senpai..." she murrmured.

Yami frowned and looked at Maggie as she whimpered his name, "Fine-" He looked to Vincent, "I'll stop being stubborn. But dont involve her. Thank you for helping her, but please- dont involve her with our world. Its nothing but darkness." Yami looked back at Maggie, "I need to be strong for her."

Vincent nodded, "That, I can agree to." He smiled, and stood up. "Then call me before you come over." He picked up his overcoat, and wrapped it around himself. "I will let myself out, wish her a happy birthday for me- will you?" He had a charming smile, and walked out the door- shutting the door behind him.

Yami got up, and walked into the kitchen. He got himself another glass of red liquid, he knew he needed control. He could control himself, he would control himself- for Maggie.

Maggie never refered to Yami as 'senpai'- called him a higher rank than she was...

But she had in that dream.

"Yami?" she asked softly fomr the door, watching him drink from the glass. She always felt slightly queezy when she watched him do that. "Did I... do something wrong?" she asked frowning.

Her arms were covered by the blanket he had put over her and her hair was half down now form moving in her sleep.

She was really like a child. the innocents and paitence of a saint- and curiosity of a cat.

"Im sorry if I did." she said, looking down.

Yami blinked, and turned to her. "Of course not, no- how could you have done anything wrong?" Yami questioned, "You were attacked." He frowned, and walked over to her side.

"Im sorry, Im the one who's sorry." He moved a stran of stray hair away from her face. "Happy birthday Maggie." He smiled at her, "I wish I could make you feel better, take away all that pain-" He stopped, he actually could- but he wouldnt. He would never make her like him. "Now we can do whatever the birthday girl wants." He smiled.

"Its kinda late, but thats okay- its still your birthday. Plus, I love the nighttime." He chuckled.

She blinked hery big blue eyes at him before smiling. "Jase reminded you did he?" she accused jokingly. She hugged him. "Thank you for remembering." she said before letting go. "My student visa expires at the end of this year- so its the last birthday I get to spend with you." she said hessitating. she trailed off seeing the look on his face. She'd kept the visa expiration date to herself- not wanting things between them to get slack because he knew she was leaving...

"We should do something memorable." she reasoned, smiling a bit. "So you deside."

Yami frowned, that was a horrible thought. "Why dont you just move here?" He questioned, but stopped- that was selfish. She had another differant life away from here. They both didnt talk about thier familys much, since well they both wernt around thier familys. She'd went to a differant country for school- and his parents had just ran off to differant countrys.

"I dont know Maggie." He rubbed the back of his neck, "Your the birthday girl, and I honestly dont know whats in that head of yous." He smiled, trying to be happy for her. "So you'll have to tell me, and whatever it is- I'll make it happen."

She blinked and blushed, looking to rhe side, thinking to herself for a moment. "Whatever I want?" she asked.

She looked back to him. "Do you mean it?" she asked.

He could hear her pulse pick up speed. Whatever idea she had excited her.

Or scared her.

Yami nodded, "I wouldnt lie to you." He smiled, "Or you hit me." He teased, but noticed her heartbeat started to race. "What is it? I promise, whatever you want." He took a sip from his cup, and set it aside on the coffee table. He leaned back in his chair, and crossed his arms.

"I want to be like you." she said after a good minutes silence.

Never once had she really asked anything of him. requested- yes- like to check in on her sick brother... but never anything like 'oh i really like that pen your using' or 'i want to see this movie tonight'.

This was diffrent...

She knelt don infront of him and took his hands in hers. they were almost hot compared to his.

"I want to be able to always talk to you- make you smile." she said.

Yami froze, "Maggie-" He stopped, how could he tell her no after he'd promised he would? "You dont want this." He looked down at her, staring into her eye's. "And I cant do this to you... Im sorry..." He bit his lip, and had to look away from her. Control. He had control. He needed to have control.

"This is a curse Maggie." He rubbed his forehead with his finguretips, and didnt know what else to say- how he could explain why he just couldnt do that.

"You do make me smile, and you will be around for along time-" He stopped, he'd never thought about that, she really wouldnt be around for much of his life. He'd been aging normally, but that will stop once he reaches about the age of 20. Then he'll be frozen in time, everything will change but him. Everyone around him will age- he wont.

"..." she looked down. "Im sorry." she said. "I knew you would say that but I asked anyway." she rubbed the back of her neck, then took her hair down. "I... dont really want to becomea vampire.... I just want to make sure you keep smiling." she said.

"You worry me yami." her blue eyes looked back up at him. "Whenever your here alone- Im afraid youll hurt yourself." she said, still holding onto one of his hands. "... Well do somethign tomorrow... I should get home- do my homework and come up with a good excuse for all of these cuts." she chukled weakly, standing up.

"Hurt myself?" Yami repeated, "How could I do that?" He questioned, "My body- it... It heals itself." He frowned, "I could jump off a 50 story building and still live. You have no need to worry about my well being."

He held onto her hand, even though she stood up. He stood up as well. "Stay here tonight, dont worry about school- just stay here with me..."

She blinked. "...Yami..."

she smiled and nodded. "Alright. But only tonight- or else my host family will think im up to no good."

Of course that woudl never be the case... they knew quite well maggie was one of the best. Kind hearted- smart. The type of person who would throw herself infront on a bus is she thought it woudl help someone else.

He smiled, "Alright, lets watch some movie's or something." He let go of her hand, "I'll get some popcorn going." He walked into the kitchen, and put some popcorn in the microwave. He leaned aginst the counter, and called out to her. "Pick something out birthday girl."

He crossed his arms, and started to think over some various things. Maggie was attractive, she wore plain clothes- and made herself simple. But she was deffinatly attractive. The microwave beeped, and snapped him out of his thoughts. He grabbed a bowl, and poured the popcorn out of the bag. He walked back into the living room, "Find something?"

"Umhm." she said holding up a movie. "We havnt seen this one in a long time." she smiled at him. "I think its the first movie we watched together."

She put it in the dvd player and paused, not yet closing it.

The first time they saw a movie- it was a vampire movie. the one she was putting in. she remembered joking and calling yami a vampire and how angry he was with her.

She took it put and looked over at him. "Do you want to watch it or another one?" she asked.

"Doesnt bother me." He said casually as he sat down on the couch, setting the popcorn next to him. He grabbed his glass, and took another sip from it- and set it back onto the coffee table. "Vampire movie's amuse me, its like- they're so wrong. I love garlic, the sun doesnt make me explode- and so on. They're just people's paranoid deslusion." He chuckled.

He patted the spot next to him, on the couch. "Come sit down, I have the remoat here."

She put the DVD back in and got up, going to his side.

She sat down and smiled. "I think that the vampires in the movies are scarry though." she said. "All grusom and... The idea of a beast taking human shape is just bone chilling." she looked at him and smiled. "Nothing like you or Mr. Vincent."

Yami raised an eyebrow at her, but decided not to say anything. Once she'd sat down, he grabbed her around the wasit and pulled her close to him- laughing. "You scared now? A Vampire has you in his arms." He laughed at her, but didnt let go- he let her snuggle in to him to watch the movie.

Even though Yami was popular among the girls, deffinatly at school- he never got too close to them. He wasnt that touchy feely with anyone. But Maggie, he trusted her- she was the only person he wanted to allow to get close to him.

At one point in the movie maggie 'eeped' and jumped.

"Sorry." she blushed, now half in his lap.

The evil vampire had burst through a window in the middle of a scene she didnt remember him doing that in. It spooked her was all.

She spent most of the movie up untill that point chewing on her thumb nail anyway.
