"Oh?" Maggie blinked. "So- is she tall, short, blonde, brunette... most are brunettes here." she blinked. "Comeon jase- details!" she smiled.

"Shrimp sounds good." she said.

Blake nodded, "We'll go with the shrimp." The waiter nodded, and walked off giving them time to order thier main course.

"So why didnt you do what your partner did? Get married, and have some what of a life before her's ended?" He questioned Liz. He never understood that, she always worked- and never ever tried to have a normal life.

--Meanwhile...

"Uh- well..." He blushed lightly, "Your embaressing." He laughed lightly, rubbed the back of his neck. "Like silver hair, and purple eye's. She's cute. Anyways, you talk with Yami yet?" He tried to change the subject.

"I have no desire to retire." she said. "When you retire blake- then come talk to me."

Maggie blinked. "Well- a little." she said blushing.

"Your blushing." Jase pointed out, "Hey- did he sinally ask you out!?" Jase laughed, "Seriously? Your sooo turning red right now." he teased.

--Meanwhile...

"I didnt mean retire, I ment not work all the time- and actually have a life. Im no example. Because Im a middle aged grumpy man who works all the time." He crossed his arms, "But dont you thinl you should actually try to do something before your time runs short?"

He didnt like saying it like that, but there was no easy way to say 'your dying'.

Liz smiled at him, sipping her drink. "I'll be find blake." she said. "I enjoy my work- if I didnt i would call in sick like michael does all the time."

Maggie shook her head. "No- he diddnt." she said sitting strate again.

Ulacard chukled and shook his head.

"Whaaat? He totally did! What if I called him and asked him myself?" He teased, just trying to get a reaction out of Maggie. "Or maybe you asked him out?" He chuckled.

--Meanwhile...

Blake sighed, "Micheal really needs to show up more often. He's a pain in the ass." He chuckled, but then frowned slightly at Liz. "But seriously, you should take it slower- take some time off. Enjoy shit."

He drank the rest of his wine, and poured himself more on his own.

Maggie blushed. "You souldnt." she dared.

Liz chukled sipping her wine. "I do enjoy shit." she said. "If I didnt why would I put up with yours and ulacards day in and day out?" she inquired.

He laughed, teasing her all the while. "I knew it." He chuckled, and they pulled up to the house. When they came inside, Jase happily told his parents that Maggie and Yami were dating- and ran away quickly from his sister. Being her 12 year old brother, he was being a brat. But ust having fun teasing his sister. He knew they really liked eachother.

Minro smiled, "Well he's a nice boy Maggie, you shouldnt be shy." She looked back to her stove where she was just adding the last touches on her meal she was making.

--Meanwhile...

"Hey, Ulacard is the hassle." Blake defended himself. "Im your boss, you have to deal with my shit- but Ulacard is the one with drama." He chuckled, "But you probably know more about that then I do. Guys dont talk about that sort of shit."

Blake thanked the waitress as she gave them thier shrimp appitizers.

"We arent going out though." Maggie blushed. she walked over to her mother and hugged her before helping with the meal. "Jase is just tyring to start trouble..." she looked to ulacard. "And you laughing is only antagonizing him." she said.

"Relax maggie- your just embarased." he smiled.

"I chose the path im leading my life on." Liz said. She picked up a shrinp and hessitated. "Surgery isnt an option- but they sugested that radiation...." she poped the shrimp into her mouth.

Blake knew as well as everyone that liz highly disaproved of tampering with the bodies natural stated- good or bad.

"I dont want to talk about you illness." Blake said bluntly, he was acting a bit childish about it- mainly because he honestly didnt want to think about it. Advoid the issue as long as you can. There was nothing he could do about it. And he didnt want to loose Liz.

"This is suppose to be a 'fun' night." He stated, as he took another shrimp from the small platter. "Thats what you said."

--Meanwhile...

Jase giggled childishly, and went into the living room to start on his homework before breakfest was ready. He always had that habbit of doing his homework on saturday mornings.

Minro smiled, "Dear, why dont you finish setting the table for me?" She looked to Maggie.

"Then enlighten me." she smiled. "How do you plan on making the night fun?"

"yes ma'am." maggie imediatly swapped tasks, helping to set the table. "Wheres dad?"

"I dont know." Blake shrugged his large shoulders, he was quite large compared to her small frame. He was a good sized man, with alot of muscle on him. "Your the one who said it." He commented, "Hell, I work all the time- I dont have any fun other then drinking."

--Meanwhile...

"He's working, covering some extra shifts for a friend of his who is having marriage issues." Minro explained, and she started to bring the food over to the table. "Your father just has a big heart, you know he'd be home if he could." She smiled, "He misses you just as much as we do."

Minro sat down at the table once all was ready, and smiled as the rest joined her.

Jase sat down next to his mom, and bowed his head for a quick prayer. Then they all started to help serve out eachothers food. "I'll get the orange juice out of the fridge." Jase went over, and grabbed it- then offered to help pour other peoples drinks.

"So how is school going dear?" Minro looked to Maggie.

"Well- we should go drinking then." she said. She woudl let him drink... she never was much of a lush.

Maggie smiled. "Its fun." she said. "A little spooky- but I think thats just because its a new place." she admitted.

"Do you hvae a room mate?" Ulacard ased.

She shook her head. No- but I madea friend or two."

Minro smiled, "Thats excellend dear." She started to eat her food, but very interested in what Maggie had to say about her new school. "So what classes are you attending?"

Jase sat down after puttng the half empty pitcher of orange juice on the counter, and smiled at his sister. "Oh yeah? I read about the school in those papers they sent you, that you can have your own dorm room or share if you want. Thats really cool. The school must be really nice." He did want to go, mainly to be with his sister- but he knew that school was very expensive.

--Meanwhile...

"Im paying for this nice dinner first." He chuckled, lighting up a bit at a chance to drink.

Maggie began listing off the classes she was taking, negllecting to mention the one with Yami. "They have the school split into two sections- the night class and the day class." she said with a smile. "Its really nice- and i think ill get a job there so I can help get jase in." she said happily.

"Oh, thats alright sis." Jase smiled, "You dont have to stress yourself over it, maybe I'll get myself a job."

Minro smiled, "You two are just so adorable, I love how close you two are." She giggled, making Jase blush and comment that she was just his sister. "Well, this school seems very nice, Im glad your attending it. I bet it'll look very good on a college resume."

--Awhile later...

Minro cleaned up the table, and had done the dishes by the time Jase was done with his homework. "Are you going out with your uncle?" Minro asked Maggie as she entered the kitchen.

--Meanwhile...

Blake paid for dinner, and left a tip as he got up from the table. "So where to now? Its still your choice." He chuckled, as he walked with her to the car. He knew she didnt drink often, but he was making her pick anyways.

"That blue clam place seems nice." she said standing up. she grabbed her bag and pushed her chair in.

"He said he wanted to show me something, but ill be home later tonight." maggie priomised.

"Thats okay honey." Minro smiled, "Be safe." She knew there was something differant about this school, she didnt understand why students would want to attend a night class. And right before Maggies mother death, Ulacard was very involved with Maggies life. But she trusted Maggie to tell her when she could.

For now, she'd give teenage Maggie all the freedom she needed to try to have a normal life.

--Meanwhile...

"Alright." Blake started up the car, and drove them further downtown to the Blue Clam.

He opened her door for her, and walked her inside. They walked up to the bar, and ordered up some drinks before finding a booth to sit at. He sat down, and held his beer as he observed the bar.

Maggie smiled and hugged her mother goodbye before leaving with ulacard. Something about crash corse in reality.

BUMP

Minro hugged Maggie back, and waved at her as she left the house. She smiled to herself, just happy to see her adopted daughter. "Jase can you run and get some milk for me? Your father will be home anytime now, and I need to do the laundry."

Jase walked into the kitchen, "Alright mom." He walked over to her purse, and took out a couple of dollars. "Need anything else while Im out?"

"No, I believe that'll be fine."

Jase nodded, and left the kitchen- he went to the front door and put on his jacket and shoes. He left the house.

Minro heard the door close, and went back to cleaning up the kitchen before going to the laundrey room. She was listening to the radio, and heard the door open while she was folding the clean clothes. She paused, listened. "Honey?" She called out, no respond. She turned off the radio, "Honey?" She called again, walking over to the door.

She heard a crash, and mumbled voices.

Minro frowned, and walked out of the laundry room to go see what had been knocked over. "Jase? Tye?" Minro frowned, she walked into the living room and one of her vases were knocked over- and it'd shattered.

She looked around the room, no one was there. The back sliding door was open slightly. She let out a sigh, and went over and closed it- locking it. "Wind maybe-" She said to herself. Then the front door closed. She turned around to see Jase walking into the living room.

"What happened mom?"

"Oh, someone left the back door open." She smiled, "Wind must have blown my vase over."

"I didnt leave it open mom."

--Meanwhile...

Blake drank another beer, and he'd had a couple of shots that he'd convenced Liz to join him. "So why is it that your a workoholic?" He chuckled, the booze in him made him a bit laid back. He was such a stiff old man when he drank.

OOC: Basically something knows Maggies a Hunter, and that she lives there XD but nothing will happen yet.

Liz shrugged. "If you have to ask then I wont answer." she said simply.

Maggie camein the front door about 2 hours later, calling in to let them know she was home. She noticed the vase was missing at the front table and blinked as she took off her shoes. "What happened to the vase?" she asked when she heard footsteps. they were too light to be tyes and too slow pased to be her mothers- so she assumed it was jase.

"Hey sis." He said simply, and looked over where the vase use to sit. "I dont know, came home and it was shattered. Mom said that she thinks a gust of wind knocked it over." He shrugged, "But I didnt leave the slidding doors open when I left. Mom must have forgot she opened them or something."

He walked into the kitchen, and grabbed himself a snack. "Hey, want some chips too Maggies?" He questioned.

Minro walked into the kitchen, "I told you Jase, Im going to be making lunch soon- your going to spoil your appitite." She scolded.

"Aww mom, I'll only eat a few. Promise."

--Meanwhile...

Blake took them back to the company owned apartments, and walked her to her door. "Goodnight." He leaned aginst the door frame for a moment. He's had a bit too much to drink.

He smiled at her, a kind smile. He didnt smile like that often. "Be safe." He took a step back into the hall, and started ti go towards his own apartment room.

"Wait-" liz grabed his hand and frowned. "... We should do this again some time." she said. "go to dinner and a drink or something..."

Maggie took them out of his hand. "You dont need that junk food- if your going to snack have an apple or something." she scolded. "Youll make yourself sick with these things." she looked up and reached, tossing them ontop of the fridge where she coudlnt reach them- meaning he wouldnt be able to either without a chair.

Minro chuckled, Maggie always was a bit motherly with Jase. It was cute. "An apple will be good for you."

Jase grumbled, "Oh fine." He picked up an apple off the counter, and washed it off. He bit into it as he walked away from them, going into the living room. He noticed the slidding door was open a crack. He walked over to it, shut it, and locked it. That was odd. He sat down on the couch, and turned on the tv.

Blake blinked, and paused. "Alright." He smiled, and then walked back to his apartment. He unlocked the door, and shut it behind him. He stripped off his clothes, turned off the lights, and laid down to go to bed.
